The Process
Next, we’ll discuss your preferred portrait location (indoor studio or outdoors) and what kind of style you’re going for in your photos. If you’re unsure about the location, no worries! I can provide lots of great recommendations for photoshoot spots - feel free to ask!
Session Planning
When you first inquire with me, we'll discuss what you hope to achieve during your portrait session. The more details you can give me, the better I can make your vision come to life!
First steps
If it feels like a good fit and you want to work together, then I will gather all the details and send you a photography contract to sign. A 50% deposit is then required to officially book your date, with the remaining 50% due 7 days before your session.
CONTRACT & RETAINER
You can expect to receive a link to your online gallery in 3 weeks where you can view, download, and share your high-resolution portraits!
Final Photos
It’s the day of your session! We will meet at the agreed-upon location and start shooting those awesome portraits for you. During the session, I'll provide you with prompts and guidance on posing, so you can relax and feel at ease in front of the camera. If you have specific poses or ideas in mind, feel free to share them - I'm open and flexible to your preferences! My main objective is to ensure a fun and enjoyable experience, no matter what!

You will receive sneak peeks in a few days after your session date and your final gallery will be ready in about 3 weeks!
Yes, I love to adventure and will happily travel to wherever you want to take your photos! :) Typically, anything 3 hours outside of the Portland, OR area will incur a travel fee. I will do the work of calculating the travel costs for you and including it in your final price so you don’t have to worry about any new fees later on.
Yes! Select wedding packages also include a free engagement session (contact me for a full pricing guide), or you can pay for an engagement session separately if you're not ready to book a wedding photographer yet. You can view more information on engagement sessions here.
Honestly, anything that makes you feel comfortable and confident! While neutrals and solid colors usually work well in photos, the choice is entirely up to you. If you're unsure about your outfit choice while we plan your session, don't hesitate to ask me for guidance.
Many clients opt for one outfit per session, but if you’d like to showcase different looks, feel free to bring a total of 2-3 outfits. I even have a changing tent for your convenience. Keep in mind that changing between outfits will cut into your portrait session time, so make your choices thoughtfully.
Of course! Make sure to let me know beforehand what you intend to bring so I can plan the shoot accordingly.
I get it, life happens! If you need to reschedule your session, get in touch with me right away and I'll let you know my availability and when we could possibly reschedule. If you would like to cancel your session altogether, please remember that your 50% deposit is non-refundable.
I have a list of popular photoshoot locations, and I can also scout out a location based on your preferences. However, if you already have a specific place in mind for your portraits, we can certainly use that location!
Living in Oregon, we all know about the unexpected weather! We can always reschedule your session if you’d like, but sometimes light rain (as long as it’s not downpouring) can make for amazing photos! We can always decide on this together when your session date gets closer!
